Sandbridge Annual Pig Pickin

It’s that time of year again! Less traffic, cooler nights, and the smell of BBQ beckoning you to visit Little Island Park for the Annual Pig Pickin’ party to benefit the Sandbridge Volunteer Rescue Squad! Enjoy food, wine & beer, local artists, live music and more. The lifesaving EMTs and Paramedics of Station 17 have prepared the weekend’s best event, where you can arrive hungry and leave happy knowing you’ve helped a great cause.

What is a Pig Pickin’?

Although common vocabulary for locals, this term might sound surprising for our visiting guests… A Pig Pickin’ is a fun get together for a good cause, with BBQ! Pig roasts are a longstanding holiday tradition for many families, and the Annual Sandbridge Pig Pickin’ is no different. Held for nearly 50 years, this event is the primary fundraiser to support the local rescue squad.
