Greetings from an overcast, but warm Labor Day in Sandbridge. It has been an absolutely perfect summer here at the beach, and we hope you got the opportunity to enjoy some time in our little slice of heaven. Did you get some chairs and sit on the beach this year?
Labor Day
Today marks the unofficial end to the summer with the arrival of Labor day. Virginia Public Schools welcome back students tomorrow, and the beach has a different feel to it beginning tomorrow. Much more relaxed and peaceful we think.
Labor day dates back to 1899 and celebrates the american worker. It is a day to acknowledge the best workers in the world, and we want to take a moment to acknowledge the best service staff in the world - Sandbridge Blue! Thanks to all of our workers for their role in creating so many super memories for our guests this year.
Memory Monday
Speaking of Memories, this week's Memory Monday photo submission is one of our favorites of the summer. It comes to us from Dwight Vaughn who stayed with us just last week.
These are Dwight's grandbabies lounging in sand chairs on the beach at Sandbridge!
Thank you Dwight for passing this photo along. It sure looks like they enjoyed their trip to Sandbridge this summer. We look forward to welcoming them back for many years to come.
Keep in mind we have many great opportunities for you to come to the beach and create your own memories. September is a great time to be in Sandbridge. Sandbridge Blue is a great place to stay!
We will share another great photo memory with you next week. Will it be yours? We publish a new photo every week. If you have not sent us your photo memories, please do it now so we can highlight you and your family!
All the best from the beach.
