WildlifeTram Tours
Take a tram tour through Back Bay National Wildlife Refuge down to False Cape State Park.With this tour you get to explore land and water. On the trip through Back Bay you will be able to see birds, fish, and reptiles local to the area. The tramdriver will talk about the wildlife you encounter and the history of both the refuge and state park. Once you arrive to False Cape State Park you will have the option to go on a one-mile hike to the historic Wash Woods cemetery. Along this hike you will likely glimpse deer and birds.
This tour lasts up to 4 hours. They offer a morning tour daily and then on Wednesday they offer a special evening tour. The morning tour is a first-come, first-served situation and reservations are not allowed. The evening tour that is offered on Wednesday requires a reservation.

If are you real adventurous you can always go on a self-guided tour through Back Bay National Wildlife Refuge or False Cape State Park.
Back Bay National Wildlife Refuge offers over 8 miles of scenic trails. Not only are there trails through the bay but there are trails to the ocean as well. The trails are open from dawn to dusk daily. You are able to bike or hike the trails.
False Cape State Park is one of the last remaining undeveloped areas along the Atlantic coast. In order to get to False Cape State Park you have to bike or hike from Back Bay National Wildlife Refuge. They have a trail open daily which will lead you to False Cape State Park. Once you make it from Back Bay to False Cape you will have 6 miles of hiking and biking trails to explore. The trails are open daily from dawn to dusk.
