Greetings from a suddenly sunny Monday morning here in Sandbridge. We had a big line of thunderstorms roll through early this morning that cleaned everything up, but now the sunshine is breaking through and it looks like it will be a wonderful day to be at the beach. In fact some folks may consider today a perfect pool day today!
Greetings on a slightly overcast, but warm enough Sandbridge Beach. The weather forecast for this week looks fantastic, with temperatures warming into the 70’s by this weekend. Spring is definitely here at the beach. As the day begins we wanted to share with you a perfect Sandbridge Sunrise.
We hope everyone had a great Easter weekend, and enjoyed the great weather we had here at the beach. We can’t remember a better Easter Sunday in a long time. Temps in the 60’s, sunny, light winds, and a great full moon on Easter Eve. Sounds like something to celebrate – like with a cannonball in the pool.
There is nothing quite as relaxing and peaceful as an early morning walk in solitude on the beach. This week’s Memory Monday photo submission reminds us of that as we have a great shot of a peaceful walk near the Little Island Fishing Pier.
We hope you had a great weekend as we welcome you back to Memory Monday. It was a good weekend here on the coast. Not only did we enjoy a weekend of being Irish, but we had our famous Shamrock Marathon weekend at the beach. Runners from all over the world came to Virginia Beach this past weekend to enjoy our hospitality, and our streets as folks ran in either the full marathon, half marathon, 8K race or otherwise. Weather cooperated for the most part (just a few morning showers yesterday, but temps were perfect for running), and a good time was had by all. We are calling this week’s Memory Monday photo Heading South, as this photo captures one of our guests watching a fishing boat just off of our coast that is obviously heading south to find some fish.
Greetings. Are you still struggling to figure out Daylight Saving Time today like we are? Wow….it was tough going to bed and hour early last night, and getting the kids to school on time this morning? Forget about it! The sun came up this morning however (one hour early) and we share with you today a picture of an artful sunrise here in Sandbridge.
Greetings from Sandbridge. Well it is finally March which means the arrival of daylight saving time (next week), and Spring! Makes a person want to jump for joy!
Greetings from a very warm, but overcast Sandbridge beach on this last Monday in February. We are so excited that Spring is just a few weeks away and the warm temperatures we have seen lately just whets our appetite for consistently warm weather. We can’t wait to be able to take walks on the beach with our friends and pets and so this week’s Memory Monday we are entitling Doggin it.
Greetings from an unseasonably warm, but a little damp Sandbridge beach this morning. We enjoyed record breaking temperatures here on the beach yesterday (76 degrees!) which made us all want to make a run for spring! We think the groundhog was incorrect on his prediction of 6 more weeks of winter. It sure feels like spring around here! It is quite warm again this morning, but the weather person says we should expect a rainy day on the beach today.
Good Monday Morning! We hope all Philadelphia Eagles fans are happy today, and New England Patriots fans are looking forward to next year after a very entertaining Super Bowl last night. Those of us without a rooting interest enjoyed a great game, and are back to work today with no effects. Not so up north today. For our Memory Monday photo contest submission today we are providing you a picture we are entitling “Beach Dude.”
