Greetings from an unseasonably warm, but a little damp Sandbridge beach this morning. We enjoyed record breaking temperatures here on the beach yesterday (76 degrees!) which made us all want to make a run for spring! We think the groundhog was incorrect on his prediction of 6 more weeks of winter. It sure feels like spring around here! It is quite warm again this morning, but the weather person says we should expect a rainy day on the beach today.
Good Monday Morning! We hope all Philadelphia Eagles fans are happy today, and New England Patriots fans are looking forward to next year after a very entertaining Super Bowl last night. Those of us without a rooting interest enjoyed a great game, and are back to work today with no effects. Not so up north today. For our Memory Monday photo contest submission today we are providing you a picture we are entitling “Beach Dude.”
Good morning from a rainy Sandbridge Beach. Kind of gloomy early this morning on Virginia’ most beautiful beach, but it looks overcast and a bit foggy as we look out on the beach early on this Monday. Maybe a good day to try some fishing!
This week’s Memory Monday makes us think of warmer temperatures and summertime. We entitle this photo as “pool day” and the photo speaks for itself.
Good Monday Morning! We hope you are enjoying this Monday and that if you are a NFL football fan that your team made it through the big weekend of playoff games. We have a lot of Washington Redskins fans around here so it was a quiet weekend for most of us. A good weekend for a solitude walk on the beach here in Sandbridge, and that brings us to our Memory Monday photo submission which we entitle “sandman.”
So have you dug out from the Snow bomb cyclone, or bombogensis, or winter storm Grayson, or whatever the latest term that was used for the storm that rolled through here last Wednesday? We are still struggling here in Sandbridge on this Monday morning as roads are still covered in ice, schools are closed for the 4th day, and temperatures are still below freezing this morning. Makes us all want to follow the birds and fly south!
It is a Good Morning on Sandbridge this morning, with temperatures expected to be in the 60’s and lots of sunshine. In spite of the sunny skies and warm temperatures we are very much in the spirit of the holidays here at Sandbridge Blue today because we are all enjoying time with our families over the next few days.
This week’s Memory Monday photo submission comes to us from Donna Starkey of Bowie, Maryland who stayed with Sandbridge Blue recently and provided this picture of Roxy the wonder dog who also enjoyed a beach visit.
So this week’s Memory Monday captures a rare moment that few people even realized took place recently on Sandbridge beach. A gathering of superheros took place right here on our sandy shores!
Happy Thanksgiving week! We hope you have great plans to enjoy family and friends this week and take a moment (or a whole day) to give thanks for the many blessings that all of us have. Lots of Turkey will be eaten on Thursday which will then be followed soon thereafter by naps so we bring you this week’s Memory Monday photo with that in mind. We call it “Sacked out!”
